Washoe County records are divided among the sheriff, several local courts, Reno and Sparks police, the Nevada criminal-history repository, the corrections department, and the Nevada Sex Offender Registry. That division can make a simple request hard to route. Why We Built This Site

Nevada law allows access to many justice records, yet no single office holds the whole history. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office maintains its reports, local history letters, detention information, and warrant services. Second Judicial District Court clerks keep filed charges and outcomes. Reno Police Records and Sparks Police retain their own reports, while the Nevada Department of Public Safety Records Bureau manages the fingerprint-based statewide repository.
